About Inside Diagnostics

Inside Diagnostics LLC provides licensed, independent asbestos testing, suspect material sampling, and pre-renovation documentation for homeowners, contractors, buyers, landlords, and property owners in Westchester County, Putnam County, and Dutchess County.

Independent Asbestos Testing

Inside Diagnostics is focused on one job: helping property owners and contractors identify suspect asbestos-containing materials before those materials are disturbed.

Our work includes reviewing the planned work area, evaluating the materials of concern, collecting samples when appropriate, coordinating laboratory analysis, and providing written documentation based on the stated project scope.

We do not perform asbestos removal, abatement, demolition, construction, remediation, or cleanup. That separation matters because the testing process should be focused on documentation, not selling removal work.

What We Test

Asbestos may be a concern in many older building materials, especially before renovation, demolition, flooring removal, ceiling work, pipe insulation disturbance, siding work, roofing work, or other property updates.

Flooring Materials Vinyl floor tile, black mastic, flooring adhesive, sheet flooring, and older layered flooring systems.
Ceilings and Walls Popcorn ceiling texture, ceiling tile, plaster, joint compound, skim coat, and wall materials.
Mechanical Areas Pipe insulation, boiler insulation, duct insulation, and older mechanical room materials.
Exterior Materials Siding, roofing materials, cement board, transite-style materials, and older exterior components.

Who We Work With

Homeowners Planning renovation, flooring removal, ceiling work, basement updates, repair work, or demolition involving older materials.
Contractors Needing asbestos testing before disturbing suspect materials during remodeling, flooring, ceiling, mechanical, siding, roofing, or demolition work.
Buyers and Sellers Reviewing older homes, repair concerns, due diligence items, or planned renovation work before making property decisions.
Property Managers Coordinating testing for rental properties, tenant spaces, maintenance work, repair planning, or contractor documentation.

How We Work

First, we review the property location, planned work, and materials of concern. Photos are often helpful because they can show the material, surrounding area, and how the material may be disturbed.

Then, we determine whether the request is best handled as a single material test, limited material sampling, or a broader pre-renovation asbestos survey.

After samples are collected and analyzed by the laboratory, written results are provided for the materials tested. The report is intended to document the tested material and stated scope, not to guarantee that every other material in the property is asbestos-free.

Asbestos cannot be confirmed by appearance alone. Laboratory analysis is required to determine whether a sampled material contains asbestos.

Licensed and Insured

Asbestos inspection, sampling, and survey documentation are performed by NYS-licensed asbestos inspectors. Inside Diagnostics LLC also maintains professional business insurance for asbestos testing and documentation services.

If asbestos-containing material is identified and will be disturbed, removal or abatement should be handled by properly licensed asbestos abatement professionals.
