What If We Notice Something?
A single unusual reading does not automatically mean something is wrong. When a particle reading appears different from the other areas screened, we may repeat the measurement before documenting it as an observation.
Our report explains what we observed and whether the finding may deserve monitoring or more focused evaluation.
Airborne particle measurements cannot identify what the particles are made of or determine their source. Moisture and thermal measurements also do not by themselves diagnose mold, a hidden leak, or another concealed condition.

After the screening, you receive a clear report showing the areas screened, measurements collected, important observations, photos when relevant, and suggested next steps.
What This Screening Does Not Do
This service is designed as an affordable first look at selected environmental conditions inside your home. It is not intended to diagnose a specific contaminant or replace specialized testing.
The Indoor Environmental Screening is not mold testing, asbestos testing, laboratory testing, an HVAC inspection, or a comprehensive indoor air quality assessment. It does not identify specific airborne particles, determine health risk, confirm mold, locate concealed water intrusion, or certify that a property is free of environmental concerns.

What is an Indoor Environmental Screening?
It is a limited room-by-room screening of airborne particle patterns, moisture indications, and thermal conditions. The purpose is to identify observations that may deserve a closer look, not to diagnose a specific environmental problem.
What do you measure in the air?
We measure airborne particles across several particle-size ranges and compare readings between the selected rooms. This can help identify areas that show different particle patterns during the screening.
Can particle readings tell me what is in the air?
No. Particle counting measures the number and size of airborne particles, but it cannot determine what those particles are made of. It cannot identify mold spores, asbestos fibers, allergens, or another specific contaminant.
Does this screening test for mold?
No. The screening may identify moisture indications or thermal patterns that deserve additional evaluation, but it does not test for or confirm mold. A dedicated mold assessment may be appropriate when mold is the specific concern.
Can thermal imaging find a hidden leak?
Thermal imaging shows surface temperature differences. These patterns can help identify areas worth checking more closely, but thermal imaging cannot directly see water or prove that a hidden leak exists.
What happens if something unusual is found?
We document what was observed and explain whether monitoring or additional evaluation may make sense. Unusual particle readings may be repeated before they are included as a screening observation.
When should I choose specialized testing instead?
If you already know the concern is mold, asbestos, significant water damage, or another specific environmental issue, a dedicated assessment for that condition may be more appropriate than a general screening.
